            great selection

I order these primarily to feed the neighborhood squirrels, although I occasionally enjoy some. I used to order from another company through a major online site, but that was actually more expensive and had far too many brazil nuts. One of the primary reasons for my first order of these was the lack of brazil nuts. For those who aren't aware, both peanuts and brazil nuts are not healthy for squirrels. Peanuts are not actually nuts, but legumes, and they contain a trypsin inhibitor that interferes with nutrient absorption. Brazil nuts are actually a seed, and are very high in selenium. This can make a squirrel seem "drunk", or worse, and should be given only in small amounts as a treat. (Note: even 2 or 3 brazil nuts eaten by a person can exceed the maximum recommended intake level of selenium.) I have a large bag of leftover brazil nuts from my previous orders from the other vendor.
If brazil nuts do become easily available again, I urge anuts.com to offer a version of the in shell mixed nuts without them (like these).

MIXED NUTS (IN SHELL) PER LB - NO BRAZIL NUTS

Great mix of nuts, always fresh, I always give the squirrels a handful when I shell some out. Only had one bad walnut in my first bag, that's a good ratio good nuts to bad. Can't go wrong with this choice!

            Great Combination

These mixed nuts are terrific! My squirrels will wait for me on the deck until I give them their daily portion. If I try feeding them anything else, I'm afraid they will revolt!

            Great Product!

My squirrels go nuts over these! I cannot imagine using any other brand.

            Too many pecans

Good quality nuts but overwhelmed with excess pecans and less almonds and hazelnuts than expected. Almost feels like the pecans are being used to fill space.
